Christine Jennings Congratulates Democrat Travis Childers on Winning Congressional Race

SARASOTA, FL – May 14, 2008 – Christine Jennings, Democratic candidate for Florida’s 13^th Congressional District, issued the following statement congratulating Democrat Travis Childers for his win in Tuesday’s special election in Mississippi’s 1^st Congressional District:

“I am so pleased to see Travis Childers prevail in a closely watched special election for the House of Representatives, and I offer him my congratulations,” said Jennings. “Democrats are now three for three this year in taking Republican seats in special elections, and I am confident that we will continue this momentum into November.”
